Welcome to the new CCAT web site

CCAT is a local, grass roots non-profit organization founded in March 2002 after the Cotter Corporation’s uranium mill announced plans to import radioactive/toxic waste from a Superfund Site in Maywood, NJ. We are a diverse volunteer group which has included educators, business professionals, health care workers, business owners, county and state employees, retirees, homemakers, students and others. We love our region and want to preserve its rare assets: Nature’s Beauty, Clean Air, and Fresh Mountain Water.

Piñon Ridge Uranium Mill
November 7, 2012

A long awaited license hearing providing public involvement for the proposed new uranium mill near Naturita, CO, begins November 7, 2012. Public comment will be accepted through November 12th. CCAT has submitted a letter to Judge Dana advising against approval for the new mill. Send comments to Judge Richard Dana.

Cotter Terminates License
